Really cool spot for dinner. The bbq was amazing, juicy and flavorful. Unique flavor from what I’ve had around town, it’s delicious. Each plate is gluten free, I suggest the coleslaw. The chili is good but spicy. My husband has said “that was bomb”, “ oh yeah, that’s good” at least 20 times since finishing his food. Definitely going back.

We have been Chicken in a Barrel fans for years and we are so excited to have a location near us now! The food is amazing. It’s honestly the best chicken I’ve ever had. And the loaded fries are amazing!! Highly, highly recommend.
This place wasn't just a taste of Kauai; it was Kauai! It brought back so many good memories for us. The food was phenomenal. I got the chicken and rib plate with mac salad and rice. We also got onion rings. Everything was delicious and exactly how we remembered it being on the island (except the rice, that was kind of meh). And it's sooooo much food so come hungry!
Absolutely amazing food some of the best barbecue I’ve had and I am a military spouse have moved all over. Definitely recommend this place. My brother is a 20 year chef and he definitely loved it too! This is a must try spot especially if you love BBQ
Cool casual concept and location. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. Loved the chicken - it was juicy and flavorful! The bbq sauces were a great compliment to the chicken - I liked both the original that was tangy and the spicy that added a little bit of heat. The chili side was solid and the rice was a bit forgettable. Overall I hope this place does well and recommend that you check them out.
The businesses on the riverfront need additional signage so people know where to go aside from passing it on the greenbelt but once you find it - WOOHOO!!! The food is so flavorful, tender, moist. DO NOT PASS ON THE LOADED FRIES! I had the pulled pork on mine and I briefly considered not sharing.
Best BBQ in Boise! The seasoning is delicious! Doesn’t even need bbq sauce. Tender and juicy. Sampler is great if you can’t decide what you want. It is big enough for two, especially if you get an extra side. Onion rings were nice and crispy.
